Open the official rules and confirm eligibility, permitted entry methods and whether handwriting is required.
Check whether the deadline refers to postmark or arrival. Copy the full mailing address and required wording carefully.
Prepare the specified envelope, index card, proof of purchase and postage. The mailing-kit estimate is a starting point, not a replacement for the rules.
Keep a copy or mailing record, then update your tracker and choose a personal follow-up date.
Record the item, retailer and purchase date while your receipt is easy to find. Enter return and warranty dates only after checking the relevant policy. Some products have exclusions or separate rules for opened items, defects and shipping.
The purchase organizer keeps these dates private and displays them in reminders. A passed date is a prompt to check the policy, not a decision about your rights or coverage. Keep original proof of purchase separately; the organizer does not currently store receipt attachments.
